Install & Uninstall

Describes how to install or uninstall QTTabBar.

Requirements : Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 (32bit/64bit) + .NET Framework 4.0 or later.

You'll find an installer, QTTabBar.exe after the zip file is extracted. Execute QTTabBar.exe and follow the instruction. (figure. 1, figure. 2)
.Net framework 4.0 or later is required to start installation. If you use Windows 7, we recommend to install newer .net framework as possible.

2 dll files will be installed to your computer: QTTabBar.dll (main module) and QTPluginLib.dll (plug-in library).
They reside in the GAC (Global Assembly Cache) - \Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL.

In addition, Utility tools are under \Program Files\QTTabBar. About those tools, see Tools.
Data files might be created under \Users\userfolder\AppData\Roaming\Quizo\QTTabBar\ by some kind of plug-ins.

You'll be instructed to log-off. In the next step, it needs to activate the QTTabBar.

Activate QTTabBar

First of all, let's activate Tab Bar.
In Windows 7, QTTabBar is under View - Toolbars in the Menu Bar. If Menu Bar isn't visible, please set it visible from "Organize" button of the folder band. (figure. 3)
In Windows 8 and 10, you can activate it from drop-down menu of 'Options' button in the Ribbon. (figure. 4)

We intend to explain how other toolbars work later in this document.
For now, you'll see a tab appears on the toolbar, which represents the folder where you enabled the QTTabBar.
Next time you open a folder window, tabs will be there.

Download the newest version and execute QTTabBar.exe.
As in figure.2, check "Uninstall" radio button and press "Next" button.

You need to log-off in order to unload dll files from memory.
Newer versions can uninstall older versions.
